InfoComm 2012 drew more than 34,000 audio/video professionals from 90 countries. Those attending the ISA session left with an understanding of how dynamic digital signage and traditional signs intersect.

“We were able to show that dynamic digital signage is simply another component of the sign industry,” said Gottwald. “There are many elements of expertise that sign companies bring to dynamic digital as it comes to market—the primary one being our longstanding relationships with the sign owners.

“[The International Sign Association] is laying the ground work for business opportunities, partnerships and alliances for our members in this fast-growing signage sector.”

In addition to the presentation, a delegation of ISA members and staff attended the event to network with key players in the audio/visual industry, which includes many manufacturers of dynamic signage components. The dynamic digital signage industry is growing at a phenomenal rate and is expected to double in the next five years.

“It’s important that sign companies understand this tremendous business opportunity,” said ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson who led the delegation. “ISA is taking a lead to build these important relationships and to educate our members on the potential that exists.”
