SPIRE Meeting Brings Insight, Education to Industry Leaders

SGIA Spire 13

SGIA Spire 13Specialty imaging leaders gathered two weeks ago in Innisbrook Palm Harbor, Florida for SGIA’s annual SPIRE meeting, to discuss graphics trends and innovations, as well as strategies on sales compensation. Through its decades-long existence, SPIRE has continued to provide unmatched educational and networking opportunities, and the 2013 meeting proved no exception.

“The SPIRE meeting again proved to be a superb networking event for its members. The educational seminars were the best yet,” said Dolf Kahle, CEO of Visual Marking Systems. “The supplier members added incredible value to the group in sharing their knowledge and insight into what’s going on in the industry.”

David Cichelli, senior vice president of The Alexander Group, kicked off the meeting by presenting how to re-design sales compensation plans to produce the right sales results to achieve and exceed company objectives.

Dene Taylor, president of SPF Inc., provided an informative session on an overview of various ink systems used for fleet markings, as well as an update on films and laminate developments/expectations. Rob Ivers, president of Rob Ivers Inc., and Nathan Franzblau, president of Graphic Application Systems Inc., joined Taylor later, for an informative panel discussion regarding adhesive graphic applications.

SPIRE is a cohesive group of C-level graphics producers who meet annually to interact and exchange ideas that persist beyond educational sessions, to real industry issues.

SGIA thanks and recognizes the 2013 SPIRE sponsors without whom the educational program would not have been possible: Agfa, Arlon Graphics LLC, Durst Image Technology, EFI, FLEXcon, and FUJIFILM.
