New RoTX 2600 Textile Printer Launched

Pigment.inc, a new division of Impression Technologies, Sydney Australia, will launch its new RoTX 2600 104-inch fully integrated printing system this May at FESPA 2015 (H4 Hall 7) in Cologne, Germany.

The new RoTX 2600 will be able to print “Everything Textile” when the unit begins to ship in June 2015. The RoTX 2600 textile printing system is modular and includes an inline curing station, a unique textile media handling system, the ability to work with virtually all types of digital textile inks and has an optional roll-to-roll pre-coater for fabric pre-treatment.

According to Steve Richardson, Managing Director at Impressions Technologies, ”We have been very thoughtful about how we developed this print engine and incorporated the advanced textile treatment and finishing workflow into the system. Our new “Roto-trac” fabric feeding system eliminates the use of “sticky belt” systems and establishes a new standard by being able to accommodate up to 95 percent of all fabrics which are digitally printable. Without a doubt there is no one offering this value at our price point of $85,000.” Further Richardson noted, “With a resolution of up to 1440 dpi, up to eight channels of color and up to 1,000 sq ft per hour, this unit will create a new norm in the direct-to-fabric market space.”

Richardson added, “Not only will the system offer the ability to use dispersed dye (sublimation) direct and dye sub paper, but the unit’s ink delivery system is very versatile and will have the ability to use pigment ink for cotton, reactive dyes for natural fibers and acids for silk and nylon. The unit truly has the ability to print “Everything Textile.” Our goal is to make this one of the most versatile systems available and we believe we have achieved this with the RoTX 2600 textile printing system.”

In North and South America, Graphics One located in Burbank, California will partner with Pigment.inc and Impressions Technology to distribute the new RoTX 2600 textile printing system.

According to Dan Barefoot, President at Graphics One, “We are extremely impressed with the new textile printing system. Having been involved in the direct-to-fabric market for many years, this is the first system we have seen which really meets the requirements of the market. It is a complete end-to-end solution not seen in the Americas previously.”

The RoTX series will begin shipping June 1, 2015 and will be available through Pigment.inc and Impressions Technology outside of the Americas and through Graphics One in North and South America.
