Master Magnetics Moves to New Location

Master Magnetics
Preparing to take it to the next level in 2018 with a state-of-the-art facility and an energized plan for the future.

Since 1976, Master Magnetics, Inc., has grown into the leading single source for magnets and magnetic products throughout North America for commercial, industrial and consumer use. Starting out in a 4,000-squre foot manufacturing space with one primary product, the magnetic tool holder, Master Magnetics has grown to over 20 million products in stock, requiring the need to enlarge and consolidate their Colorado facilities.

The move to the new headquarters in Castle Rock, Colorado, consolidates 85,000 square feet in seven different buildings into one building of 99,000 square feet and sets the foundation to support the anticipated growth in the near future while keeping the business in the town where it all started.

“Customer service has always been our primary concern and combining all of our Colorado production, warehousing and shipping operations in one location will allow us to maintain our high level of service as we grow,” said Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Brown.

Master Magnetics East, in Marietta, Ohio, with 20,000 square feet of production, warehousing, and shipping, will continue operations to provide cost-effective and efficient shipping for the eastern section of North America.

The spacious new headquarters for Master Magnetics includes 84,000 square feet of production and warehouse space, and 15,000 square feet of office space. The move into the new location at 1211 Atchison Court, Castle Rock, CO 80109 is scheduled to be complete by June 15, 2018.

“In addition to consolidating our Colorado operations, we are able to layout our warehouse and production areas for optimal efficiency and product flow,” said Alex Onda, supply chain anager for Master Magnetics. “With seven dock doors to simultaneously ship and receive product, we can accommodate the increased volume we expect as we execute our strategic sales growth plans.

“In addition to the usual logistical challenges inherent with a company move of this size, this one has been more like playing three-dimensional chess. We juggled a tear-down, move and set-up of racking, have been transporting our inventory from two existing warehouses and will continue to maintain our high level of customer service, all on an extremely tight timeline. It will prove to be well worth it as everyone pulls together to set Master Magnetics up for another forty years of growth.”

Industry Leader for Over Forty Years

“Listening to our customers and developing products that are innovative and useful for them is a point of pride for us, and a core reason for our success and growth,” said Brown. “We provide the products, customer service and expertise to help our customers be successful. Our exclusive focus is on magnets; that’s all we do. Whether it is with off-the-shelf or custom-designed products, in all of our channels of business, customers rely on us to match the right magnet for their application to achieve an effective and cost-efficient solution.”

Magnetic products are marketed under the Magnet Source® brand, a registered trademark of Master Magnetics that represents exceptional quality, expertise and customer service.
