FASI Appoints New Member to Its Board of Directors

Board of Directors

The Foundation for the Advancement of the Sign Industry (FASI) has appointed Roy Cox, president of Trav-Ad Signs (Huntsville, AL), to its Board of Directors. Cox has served the sign industry in numerous capacities: as president of the Mid-South Sign Association (2004), as chairman of the International Sign Association (2009), and as a Board member (2013-1014) of the former The Signage Foundation, Inc. (now known as the Sign Research Foundation).

“Roy’s love for, and devotion to, the sign industry exactly matches the goals and purpose of FASI,” stated Wade Swormstedt, FASI’s Executive Director. “Having worked with Roy before, I know he is the right person.”

Cox purchased Trav-Ad Signs in 1978 for $2,000; thus the company is currently celebrating its fortieth anniversary.

FASI (www.fasi.org) serves as clearinghouse of information about the value of signs and myriad legal aspects, with links to three sign-industry research organizations, a re-creation of the former Small Business Administration website, online versions of numerous out-of-print books, and numerous articles from sign-industry trade journals, along with original material as well.
