Back-Lit Awning Fabric Now Offered in Seventy-Eight-Inch Width
Cleveland, Ohio—The Astrup Company has increased its
fashionable NorthStar™ line of back-lit awning fabrics to include
a seventy-eight-inch width. Ideal for broad, seamless expanses,
seventy-eight-inch NorthStar by Astrup minimizes fabrication and
reduces expense for awning manufacturers.
NorthStar, available exclusively through Astrup, is a unique, vinyl-coated
polyester fabric displaying a fashionable, high-gloss, "wet
look." The color is the same on the face and back side, making
backlit awning displays more attractive. Like its sixty-one-inch
counterpart, seventy-eight-inch NorthStar weight just thirteen ounces
per square yard. The lightweight NorthStar fabric is easy to work
with and can stretch over many shapes.
The durable fabric offers superior tensile and tear strengths and
exceptional resistance to mildew, UV exposure, rot, fade, weather,
scuff, and abrasion, ensuring a long product life. It is also waterproof,
translucent, and dimensionally stable. Versatile NorthStar is highly
receptive to a variety of graphic applications including paint,
pressure-sensitive, heat transfer, and screen-printing.
Astrup will offer seventy-eight-inch NorthStar in six vibrant,
solid colors: Blue, Yellow, Red, Kelly Green, White, and Winterberry.
In addition to these six colors, original sixty-one-inch NorthStar
is also available in Orange, Mint, Dark Green, Turquoise, Ivory,
Plum, Black, and Hot Pink.
Carrying a five-year manufacturer's limited warranty, NorthStar
meets the requirements of CFSM Title 19 and NFPA 701-89. It is registered
with the California State Fire Marshall.
