MACtac® Launches Application Nation Web site to Drive Creativity, Educate, and Build Installer Community

Stow, Ohio—For those who want to be connected with some of the world’s best graphics installers and industry experts,  MACtac’s  new Application Nation Web site delivers. The revolutionary new Web site recently went live, bringing the latest graphic installation news, information, trends and ideas to the masses.

“MACtac’s main objective with the creation and launch of the Application Nation Web site is to establish an online installation community to inform, inspire and develop the installer community,” said Jason Yard, Marketing Application Specialist, MACtac Graphic Products. “Application Nation started as MACtac’s application training course, but the ultimate goal was always to make it a destination. This was created specifically for installers in the graphics industry, and is a reliable resource to help them excel and capitalize on what they already do. The site features interactive functionalities and showcases creativity, style, technique and more for those that perform a crucial step in delivering our final product.”

Staying Connected

Application Nation is a voice for installers—allowing them to chat and build relationships with their peers and other industry professionals. Within the Application Nation community, visitors can become a citizen; find a citizen; upload and share projects; and view, search, comment on, or create postings on virtually anything relating to the graphics industry.

“Giving installers a forum for discussion and a gallery to showcase work helps everyone realize how MACtac products are being used in real-world installation—from point-of-purchase displays to building and vehicle wraps—and for a variety of different end-uses such as non-profit, corporate, personal entertainment, etc.,” Yard added. “This creative outlet for users also helps foster relationships that can lead to new tricks of the trade or possible business leads.”

Along with providing visitors better access to more information, the site features a clean, graphically appealing look with a number of key features, including quick navigation to MACtac distributors worldwide and an “Ask the Expert” section that contains questions and answers from users. Application Nation also features a “Wizard Builder”, a database of MACtac product information that enables an installer to select criteria for an installation project. The database then populates the correct MACtac products for the job.

Application Nation came to life in 2007—driven by customers and installers who wanted to expand their knowledge of digital media and installation techniques—with the introduction of Application Nation vehicle wrap training sessions lead by the Professional Decal Application Association’s Rob Ivers. Building on the training sessions, the Web site extends the initial concept of Application Nation to further enhance installation discussion, education, ideas, trends, and techniques to advance the craft and the business.

“In an effort to expand the Application Nation program, the launch of the Web site is the next step in MACtac’s efforts to build an all-encompassing graphics installer community with ongoing opportunities to learn, explore and share knowledge on installation, lamination and removal processes and more,” Yard concluded.

Application Nation offers news and information for the seasoned professional, the novice installer or just the average person who is curious about graphics application. It is interactive, so the future of the site content will be driven by those who participate in creating it. To learn more, visit www.TheApplicationNation.com.
