SGIA Launches First Sustainability Recognition Program

Fairfax, Virginia—SGIA member companies who have started their journey under the 4-Step Sustainability Action Plan are encouraged to apply for the Sustainability Recognition Award.

In its first year, the program’s primary goals are to:

* Recognize the efforts of specialty imaging companies that are on the sustainability pathway.

* Encourage adoption of sustainable business practices by the SGIA membership.

“Adopting and implementing sustainable business practices requires a strong commitment on the part of both management and the workforce,” said Marci Kinter, SGIA’s Vice President of Government and Business Information. “We are excited to recognize those who have successfully embarked on this journey.”

Please note that this program does not include an element of third part certification and therefore cannot be construed as a certification program.

Applications for the Sustainability Recognition Award must be submitted no later than February 23, 2010. The awards will be presented at the 2010 National Environmental Health and Safety (NEHS) Conference (Indianapolis, March 15–17). For more details and to apply, visit SGIA.org, Keyword: 4-Steps.
