Digital Signage Expo 2010 Declared a “Success” by Exhibitors

Atlanta, Georgia—Digital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest International Tradeshow and Conference dedicated to digital signage, interactive technology, and out-of-home networks, has been declared a “success” by exhibitors, many of whom wrote business at the show. The Conference and Trade Show, which ran last week, drew over 3,400 attendees, nearly a 14 percent increase over 2009. Both the increased attendance and the fact that there were fifty-six first-time exhibitors validates the preeminent position of DSE as the industry’s main show and is a positive sign that the digital signage industry is rebounding.

Exhibitors reported that attendees were high quality decision-makers from a broad variety of end-user business categories, a profile that has become the hallmark of this leading international event since its inception in 2004. Comments included:

“As it happens every year, exhibiting at DSE 2010 brought new business opportunities that we wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.”Brian Dusho, President and Chief Strategy Officer, BroadSign International.

“The DSE Show was a resounding success for us. It introduced Omnivex to several new customers that are looking at digital signage deployments and allowed us to connect with many of our industry partners in one place.”Jeff Collard, President, Omnivex.

“I had more top level, and productive, meetings in the few days of DSE than I could have had in six months. Each year the DSE becomes not only bigger, but more relevant. Kudos to the organizers because relevancy is usually the first thing a trade show loses." – Phil M. Cohen, President, CEO, Care Media Holding Corp.

"More than in previous years, DSE 2010 was full of partners and real prospects who were serious about doing business with Aerva’s mobile interactivity and social media apps. We are very pleased with the number of genuine opportunities and have already reserved our space for DSE 2011." – Sanjay Manandhar, CEO, Aerva, Inc.

Chris Gibbs, President of ExpoNation LLC, which produces Digital Signage Expo said, “Based on our market research and attendee feedback from last year, we made significant changes in the DSE 2010 Conference format—one-third more seminar choices, a total of 174 speakers, the vast majority of which were peer presenters.” Gibbs added, “We also incorporated new features such as the popular Lunch & Learn Roundtable Program, which was completely sold out.”

Digital Signage Expo 2011, co-located with Interactive Technology Expo, The Out-of-Home Network Show, and Digital Content Show is scheduled for February 22-24, 2011, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.
