Daktronics Appoints Jim Vasgaard to a Commercial Sales Leadership Role
Brookings, South Dakota—Daktronics Inc., has announced Jim Vasgaard’s appointment to a leadership position in the Commercial Business Unit at headquarters in Brookings, South Dakota. The appointment reflects Daktronics’ belief in the tremendous growth opportunities that exist in the marketplace as commercial retailers replace traditional manually changeable letter boards with digital displays to advertise their businesses.
In his new role, Vasgaard will manage sales and marketing efforts for Daktronics’ sign company business. “Daktronics appreciates every sign company that looks to us as their digital display supplier,” Vasgaard said. ”Without their confidence in our product and services, we wouldn’t enjoy the success I’m looking forward to finding more ways that we can help our sign companies take full advantage of this exciting market.”
In determining how best to grow business and support sign companies, Vasgaard will draw upon more than twenty years of experience in the sign industry. Before this new appointment, he worked for Daktronics and sign company resellers as a regional manger. Vasgaard’s initial experience with Daktronics began after he graduated from South Dakota State University with a business-advertising degree.
