ArtCAM 2010 Free Online Demonstrations
London, England—To mark the launch of its new software range, ArtCAM 2010, Delcam is hosting a number of free online demonstrations. If these demonstrations do not cover your industry or you would like to find out more about ArtCAM 2010 in your native language, please contact your local reseller and request a demonstration. If however you are unable to attend one of the demonstrations, you will be happy to know that these demonstrations will also be recorded and added to the videos section of the ArtCAM Web site.
February 16: Free online engraving demonstrations for print finishers.
EST Times: 5am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm

Delcam has been providing print finishers with its advanced design and manufacturing software to create highly accurate, flat and rotary dies for over 15 years. This has enabled customers to create complex cover for case books requiring multiple foils, greetings cards with sculpted embossing, prestigious packaging and labels as well as visually effective 3D magazine covers. This demonstration will show how ArtCAM 2010 can help with your engraving.
February 18: ArtCAM 2010 demonstration for creators for themed environments
EST Times: 5am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm

Scenic design companies and artists often face numerous challenges when creating permanent and seasonal sculptures. Not only must they have the creativity to take a clients design concept and capture it in a physical form, but also have the necessary tools and materials to create an accurate and fit for purpose design.
Delcam has been providing CADCAM software to meet these needs through its close relationship with its customers and leading industry specialists for over fifteen years. ArtCAM 2010, Delcam’s latest release of the software range, has been designed to dramatically improve the development of themed environments, whether they are for retail displays, corporate events and foam props for motion pictures/theatrical productions or more permanent features such as theme and leisure park sculptures.

With the advancements in Computer-aided Design and Manufacturing (CADCAM) technology and the reduction in price of CNC routers, Sign-making companies can now branch out from laser printed signage and enjoy creating quick and affordable sculptural signage to give them that competitive edge.
Whether creating signage for directional, informative, commercial or brand implementation purposes Delcam’s range of ArtCAM software can create modular, custom-made, bulk or traditional signage with ease.
February 25: ArtCAM 2010 demonstration for jewellers
EST Times: 5am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm
Duration: 30 minutes
ArtCAM JewelSmith 2010 allows jewellers or pewter-, silver- and goldsmiths, to create highly crafted personalised or custom pieces or new complete lines with ease. Jewellery can be created directly in the ArtCAM software or if master model makers prefer they can first: draw their designs, hand sculpt a 3D model or create the piece in a familiar CAD package. Their work can then be simply scanned or imported directly into the software.
To see how the piece will look the model can be rendered at any time and a fully dynamic 3D PDF can be sent to customers for approval. Once the design is ready for rapid prototyping or CNC machining, ArtCAM JewelSmith’s integrated machining wizards will set the machine toolpaths or provide the necessary output files.

These demonstrations are for people that are new to ArtCAM. If you are already an ArtCAM customer separate demonstrations will be held highlighting key software developments, new to ArtCAM 2010. For more information regarding these demonstrations please contact your local reseller.
1. Registration: To join your preferred demonstration, you will need to register. To avoid disappointment this should be done at least one day prior to the online demonstration to ensure that you receive your confirmation e-mail, with the password required for attendance, in time. Registering your details should only take a couple of moments. Once you have registered you will be given the option to set an event reminder in your calendar programme (E.G. Microsoft Outlook).
2. Ensure you have the following: Delcam advises that you check that you have one of the following software packages installed on your computer to view the demonstration:
* Flash Player 6.0 or later.
* Windows Media Player 9.0 or later.
* QuickTime 6.0 or later.
Before the demonstration, the company also advises that you make sure that your head phones and/or speakers are working correctly.
3. Attending the demonstration: Once you have registered, to join the demonstration you will be asked to enter your name and email address followed by the meeting password (this will have been sent to you in an e-mail confirming your registration) and click on “join.” Then follow the on screen instructions.
