Roland DGA
is pleased to announce that its Roland Academy webinar training courses set a new record in 2011, drawing more than 2,300 attendees throughout the year. In 2012, Roland Academy is expanding with several new webinars, in addition to offering its most popular hands-on workshops. Details are available at www.rolanddga.com/academy.

This milestone follows more than a decade of success for the industry’s leading training and education program. Roland pioneered the concept of offering advanced end-user and dealer training to businesses throughout the Americas in 1999, and continues to set new standards for service and support with the industry’s most comprehensive webinar and workshop offering.

“By attending a Roland webinar, I learned a lot that I can use to make a better product for my customers,” said John Hyde of Pine Images, LLC, located in Boyerstown, Pennsylvania. “These webinars are part of the excellent support I receive from Roland. I made the right choice with my equipment purchase.”

Roland Academy attendees can choose from a wide range of topics, including everything from color management, file preparation, advanced software workflows and metallic inkjet printing to gift engraving, serialization, apparel decoration and subtractive rapid prototyping (SRP).

Registered Roland owners receive unlimited access to all Roland Academy webinars, as well as on-demand access to a comprehensive archive of previously recorded sessions. Webinars are free to Roland registered owners and offered at a nominal cost to others.

Designed to provide end users with the knowledge and expertise they need to grow their businesses, Roland Academy offers courses for the company’s entire product line, including wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, vinyl cutters, engraving machines and milling machines. Instruction is provided by both in-house pros and guest speakers, including experts from some of the industry’s leading software developers, such as CADlink, SAi, Corel, and X-Rite. Many inkjet webinars teach various aspects of VersaWorks® workflows for better efficiency and productivity.

“Roland Academy continues to grow, with participation in our webinar series expanding at a tremendous rate,” said Dana Curtis, product manager for Roland DGA Corp. “We believe this is because the courses offer so much value. Roland Academy helps customers develop new skills, shows them how to optimize their equipment, and provides strategies for building profits in this very competitive market.”

“Roland Academy courses are extremely informative.  They really help me get the most out of my machine and software,” said Andy Boyea, Jr. of Li’l Dogs, located in Ludlow, Massachusetts.
