LIGHTFAIR International Partners With CABA

Lightfair11-a
Lightfair11-aAs the world’s largest architectural and commercial lighting tradeshow and conference, LIGHTFAIR International (LFI) supports and partners with associations that directly impact attendees and the industries in which they serve. Most recently, LFI partnered with Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA), an international not-for-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of intelligent home and intelligent building technologies.

As part of this partnership, LFI is the exclusive sponsor for CABA’s Intelligent & Integrated Building Council Meeting and Reception, scheduled for January 31 in Las Vegas. The event will bring together industry leaders to focus on and address the council’s mission of strengthening the large building automation industry through innovative technology-driven research projects. LFI will be at the meeting as both an attendee and sponsor.

“LIGHTFAIR International is a powerhouse of knowledge, resources and support for associations that impact the lighting, building and technology industries,” says Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO of CABA. “The partnership with LIGHTFAIR further enhances the benefits our members receive as part of CABA. We look forward to continuing to work with LIGHTFAIR and introducing our members to all that it has to offer.”

LIGHTFAIR International will be onsite to support the initiatives of the council meeting as well as showcase what’s in store for LFI 2011 in May at the new Philadelphia location. In addition to the breadth of product and education offered at LFI, it will spotlight two premier pavilions staged on the trade show floor of great interest to the CABA members: The Building Integration Pavilion and the Daylighting Pavilion.

The Building Integration Pavilion, launched in 2010, features companies displaying solutions and products used to maximize and create energy-efficient buildings; and the Daylighting Pavilion, the tradeshow counterpart to LFI’s Daylighting Institute, focuses on architectural daylighting, daylight harvesting, energy efficiency and conservation, solar shading, and natural light.

“As sponsor of this council meeting, we are not only supporting an association that helps drive our attendees businesses and the industry as whole, but we are also providing CABA members the opportunity to discover what LIGHTFAIR and its dynamic trade show and conference bring to the industry,” says Rochelle Burt, managing director of LFI.

The Intelligent & Integrated Building Council Meeting and Reception is scheduled to take place January 31 at the Renaissance Las Vegas, 4 p.m.-7:30 p.m. (meeting: 4-6 p.m., reception: 6-7:30 p.m.).

LIGHTFAIR International takes place May 15-19, 2011 at the newly expanded Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
