Roland Introduces New, Heavier Glossy Photobase Paper

Roland DGA Corp. has introduced new Glossy Photobase Paper to its comprehensive selection of media offerings for digital printers. With its high gloss and excellent contrast characteristics, this premium, heavy-weight (10.5 mil) paper is specially designed to enhance image quality and maximize the eye-catching effects of metallic graphics.

Glossy Photobase Paper is the perfect receptor for Roland’s Eco-Sol MAX solvent inks, making it an extremely versatile solution for fine art and photographic images, including posters, presentation boards, P-O-P displays, tradeshow graphics, and more. Profiles available within VersaWorks RIP Software allow end-users to take full advantage of Roland’s Glossy Photobase Paper by optimizing print quality, color and vibrancy.

“This true photobase paper further expands Roland’s application offerings for wide format inkjet users,” said Julie Gedaros, product manager of e-commerce, supplies, and accessories for Roland DGA Corp. “By enabling unique metallic accents to be added to prints, it opens up new markets to print service providers such as wedding photography.”

Roland’s Glossy Photobase Paper (SCM-GPP2) is available in 20-inch-by-100-foot, 30-inch-by-100-foot, and 54-inch-by-100-foot roll sizes to suit varying printer sizes.

To purchase the media, contact a Roland authorized dealer or visit the Roland DGA Online Store.
