DSF® Webcast Series: “Digital Signage for Retail 101”

The Digital Signage Federation®, the only independent not-for-profit trade organization serving the digital signage industry, is launching a comprehensive educational program designed specifically for retail operators, administrators, and technologists. This webcast series is supported by a robust resource platform that offers a "getting started" guideline, articles and white papers, and photographic installation examples. The webcast series, which begins Tuesday, October 30 at 2pm EDT, is presented by Oliver Vagner, Principal Architect, Solution Forge; Katie Custer, Popstar Networks; and Brian Eble, Peerless AV.

Digital signage represents an opportunity for stores to reach consumers by engaging them during the shopping experience. Using new interactive technologies tied to digital installations, retailers like Build-A-Bear Workshop just introduced its newly imagined store, which incorporates an extensive new interactive digital sign concept, and Burberry recently unveiled its largest and most technologically advanced store in the world in their flagship London Regent Street location. The consumer retail experience continues to evolve driven by these technological advances, with emphasis on driving customers to brick-and-mortar locations and finding ways to capture sales onsite.

Digital Signage for Retail 101 will present an hour-long "boot camp" on the use of digital signage in the retail environment, in which attendees will learn about various applications and benefits of digital signage, as well as the variety of technologies now available. The webcast will discuss how to best integrate signage into the store environment and best practices for deployment. The audience will also gain insight into the importance of content, developing a content strategy, and managing the content process.

Attendees can expect to learn:

+ Potential benefits of digital signage in a retail environment;

+ Understanding of the available technologies;

+ Best practices for deployment; and

+ Content 101.

In addition to the webcast series there is a wealth of information on various applications, articles, white papers, and other resource materials for restaurants to reference available HERE.
