Webinar: Energizing Retail Experience Through Digital Signs

DSF_logo_2012The Digital Signage Federation®, the only independent not-for-profit organization serving the digital signage industry will host Bryan Meszaros, Director, Strategy & Development, OpenEye; Chris Heap, Sr. Digital Strategist, OpenEye; and John Schreiber, Vice President and Senior Creative Director, IDL Worldwide, on Wednesday, June 13 at 2pm EDT when they present “The Store Fights Back: Energizing the Retail Experience through Digital Signage” to kick off the DSF’s Summer Webinar Series.

The traditional path to purchase from home to store has become disrupted as purchasing has shifted away from brick and mortar and retailers try harder to compete online and via mobile for share of market. Forward-thinking retailers are fighting back leveraging the one key asset with which online and mobile channels cannot compete—the in-store experience itself—by providing customers with the physical space for the brand to express, impress, and instill its virtues and values.

Meszaros argues that stores must do more than simply “inform, educate, and promote”—they should enable customer interaction and engagement by developing innovative in-store experiences that combine multiple channels and empower the consumer decision-making process.

The webcast presentation will:

* Identify strategies that can be used to optimize how customers hunt for product information

* Explain how digital signage fits into the overall cross-channel experience

* Explore methods that tie digital signage directly into the customer’s path to purchase

George Yunis, co-Chair of the DSF’s Education Committee says, “Retailers looking for strategies on how to effectively use digital signage within their shopping environments will come away from this presentation with a better understanding of how to utilize existing assets, engage their customers, and more effectively drive sales.”
