SBT-logoNational signage and graphics company Signs By Tomorrow announced the top five finalists in its nationwide “Imagine It…We Can WRAP It!” contest being held in conjunction with 3M Commercial Graphics and United Application Standards Group (UASG).

The five finalists were selected from a pool of dozens of entries by a panel of judges from Signs By Tomorrow, 3M, and UASG.  The top five were chosen for the stories behind the entries as well as for originality, the condition of the object to be wrapped, and safety standards.

  • Heroes On the Water Kayak – By wrapping a Hobie Revolution kayak used in fishing therapy, Purple Heart recipient and disabled veteran Jason Austin wants to give back to other wounded veterans.
  • EDS Recycling Center – In an effort to encourage recycling and education, EDS wants to wrap one of 10 recycling dumpsters that will be placed in strategic locations around The Lariat Loop, a 40 mile scenic byway in Colorado.
  • Theut Products Orange Truck– In honor of its 75th anniversary, Michigan-based concrete supplier Theut Products wants to wrap a truck to show its support of wind energy.
  • The Freeway Dust Collector – King’s Cabinets owner Alan King would like to wrap his company’s large blue dust collector that faces a busy freeway in Orem, Utah.

Voting opened today on the contest Facebook page and will run through Thursday, March 22. The winner of the “Imagine It…We Can WRAP It!” challenge will be announced by March 25 and will receive a free wrap, design, and installation (up to 1,200 square feet of 3M graphic film and overlaminate, a $3,500 value) of the item they submitted courtesy of Signs By Tomorrow, 3M, and UASG.
