SGIA Keynoter Sees Bright Future for Small Businesses

sgialogo.macBusiness management columnist and bestselling author Gene Marks will be the speaker at the 2011 SGIA Expo’s Keynote Breakfast.

In his session “Politics, the Economy, and the Specialty Imaging Industry—How Today’s Current Events Impact Tomorrow’s Profits,” Marks will motivate attendees to think about their business and how to take advantage of the current and future political and economic climate.

“Things aren’t great. But there’s plenty of good news out there and business owners know it,” said Marks. “When that next big idea hits, new industries will be created, and new markets will rise and thousands of business owners will benefit.”

In addition to writing weekly columns for The New York Times and Forbes, Marks is also a CPA and regularly appears on national radio and TV talk shows including CNBC, FOX News, Fox Business Channel, and MSNBC.

Marks will have an article in the upcoming July/August issue of the SGIA Journal titled “Good News for Managing a Small Business.” In the article, he will discuss the bright future for small businesses and how demand is heating up.
