GSG Raises Funds For Pancreatic Cancer

Graphic Solutions Group, a full-line distributor of equipment and supplies for the decorated apparel, graphics, and sign industries, organized two events to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network during the Fort Worth Imprinted Sportswear Show in September. Hank Granberry, the father of company president Mark Granberry, passed away of pancreatic cancer on August 11, 2001.

A golf tournament was held on Friday, Sept. 23 at the StoneBriar Fazio Resort in Frisco, Texas. Participants enjoyed lunch, a full day of golf, and an awards dinner in the evening. During the show, two specially designed T-shirts were printed on an M&R Diamondback press and were available for sale for $5.

Lon Winters of Graphic Elephants in Elizabeth, Colorado created both T-shirt designs. The first design features a photo-realistic porch with a rocking chair and a guitar, and it was printed with Wilflex Epic faux water-base inks. The second design commemorates Fort Worth with a steer’s skull and a guitar, and it was printed with multiple textures including clear high-density gel and foil. Spec sheets were available for both designs, and Winters was available to answer questions about how the prints were done.

The combined proceeds from the golf tournament and T-shirt sales raised more than $15,000 for pancreatic cancer. GSG2
