Daktronics Adds to Bright Lights of Las Vegas with Treasure Island Marquee

Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, was retained by Treasure Island Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, to install a new double-sided LED video marquee display on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Installed early this fall, the new displays measure approximately 26.5 feet high-by-34.5 feet wide each and appeal to the heavy vehicle and foot traffic in both directions of the most popular area of Las Vegas to promote upcoming Treasure Island hosted events. The displays feature a 15 HD pixel layout for more than 1,800 combined square feet and more than 1.1 million LEDs to show clear, crisp imagery to viewers.

“Replacing the previous display with a product manufactured in the United States that requires less power consumption was crucial to the success of this project,” said Treasure Island Executive Director of Entertainment Chip Croop. “Daktronics was able to provide us with the solution we desired and the results are phenomenal.”

With more than twenty high profile installations such as this one on and near the Las Vegas Strip, Daktronics has again and again shown expertise in providing these customers with video display solutions that meet the needs of this premier location and provide a spectacular viewing experience for everyone in the area.

“We’re proud to be a part of this iconic property,” said Mark Meyer, Daktronics Las Vegas sales representative. “These new displays provide Treasure Island with substantial flexibility for their messaging and bring dynamic added attention to every message with our bold color contrast.”
