MaxLite Streetlight

MaxLite StreetlightOffering street lighting with performance and style that fits into a broad range of outdoor environments, MaxLite® has introduced energy-efficient Merak™ LED Roadway Street Lighting Fixtures for departments of transportation, utility providers, and municipality and interstate market segments.

This leading global manufacturer and marketer of the award-winning MaxLED® line of innovative LED luminaires and lamps has launched these new LED Roadway Streetlights to illuminate streets, roadways, pedestrian walkways, bikeways and parking lots in parks, corporate and school campuses and municipalities. The series is offered in 30- to 240-watt models that replace 70- to 500-watt high pressure sodium cobra head fixtures and deliver up to 23,300 lumens, to support main and ancillary streets. Additional wattages are available upon request. Each model is available in 5000K correlated color temperature (CCT) in three IES beam distribution types; other distributions are available as special order.

“Our inaugural series of Merak LED Roadway Street Lighting fixtures has opened up an entirely new market segment for MaxLite,” said Bill Fenimore, Director of Outdoor Lighting. “These LED fixtures can match the photometrics of standard high pressure sodium cobra head fixtures, while operating at a lower wattage, and meet or exceed the lumens produced by the incumbent technology.”

The fixture is constructed of a durable, die cast aluminum housing, and is available as a NEMA photocell-ready configuration. High impact polycarbonate lenses are sealed to ensure dust and waterproof operation, and cover the series of sustainable LED module arrays. Each LED module features an independent heat sink for optimal thermal management and ease of replacement. Stainless steel latches provide for toolless maintenance.

With greater than 95 percent power factor at 277 volts, the LED Street Lights operate using a universal power supply ranging from 100 to 277 volts with no re-strike delay. The LED Street Lights can be with used with a variety of controls and sensors for optimal efficiency.

The mast installation toggle can be adjusted from up to 20 degrees while the mast arm sleeve pivots from 0 to 90 degrees for precise aiming. The fixtures offer an EPDM bug and bird gasket at the mast access.
