Larson WAL JH 150LED 01Larsonelectronics.com has announced the release of a 150 watt LED bracket mount work light designed to allow workers to mount lighting to scaffolds and ladders commonly used in the industrial workplace. The WAL-JH-150LED-120/277V work light with ladder or scaffold mounting bracket is configured to be quickly attached to railings, ladders, and scaffolds, and provides illumination comparable to 400 watt metal halide lamps while providing better efficiency and durability.

The WAL-JH-150LED-120/277V LED work light provides a powerful and versatile source of high quality illumination for operators who commonly utilize ladders, scaffolds, and similar structures during large sized operations.

This powerful bracket mount LED work light produces 14,790 lumens of high quality light and due to its high efficiency and advanced design, provides illumination rivaling that of 400 watt metal halide units. The heavy-duty lamp housing on this work light is sealed against water and dust intrusion and IP68 rated waterproof to 3 meters of submersion. In standard configurations, these high output LED lights produce illumination in a wide flood pattern, allowing them to cover up to 18,000 square feet of workspace effectively.

These LED work lights also have a 50,000 hour operating life, far more than incandescent or metal halide lamps, and can withstand vibrations and impacts that would shatter normal light bulbs. These units are fitted with a waterproof inline transformer and 25 feet of oil and abrasion resistant cord to allow operation with common 120-277 VAC current. Operators can also disconnect the transformer and connect these LED work lights directly to the 12 or 24 volt DC power commonly available from vehicles and equipment, giving them greater versatility and the ability to be operated independently of standard AC power sources. The lamps are attached to the mounting platform via an adjustable bracket that allows side-to-side and vertical adjustment of the lamp body.

The ladder/scaffold mounting bracket is constructed from heavy duty aluminum for light weight and high strength, and an adjustable J-hook can be adjusted from twenty-six inches to forty-three inches in length to allow attachment to a wide variety of ladders and scaffolding of different sizes. A center-mounted lamp post also allows operators to raise the lamp assembly up to three feet above the mounting bracket assembly, helping to increase coverage of the work area and reduce glare. Operators can simply loosen the adjustable J-hook, hang the ladder on a ladder rung or scaffold rail where needed, then slide the J-hook into position to lock the unit in place.

These LED work lights are heavy-duty units and designed to withstand the demanding conditions of industrial workplaces so workers have reliable high output illumination whenever it is needed.

“The WAL-JH-150LED is a continuation of a popular form factor for the marine space, featuring a 150 watt LED light head,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com. “For operators doing ship and vessel maintenance, these lights mount well to catwalks and scaffold, providing light output on par with a 400 metal halide, but with better distance projection.  This 15,000 lumen LED light can operate on either 12/24 VDC or 120/277 VAC, making for universal operation around the world.”
