ISA Releases New White Paper on Curing Technologies

The International Sign Association explores the benefits of innovative curing technologies in its latest white paper, produced in conjunction with InfoTrends. The paper reviews both UV cured and latex inkjet methods.

In addition to examining the market trends and opportunities in wide format printing as well as the benefits of the UV curable and latex ink technologies, the white paper includes case studies of two sign and print shops that have implemented these technologies.

An AlphaGraphics franchise in Suwanee, Georgia, has found success in serving movie and television production clients. After installing a wide format printer with cool cure inkjet technology, Alan Akins has been able to print acrylic Christmas ornaments using white inks, newsprint for movie props, movie backdrops and exhibit graphics.

Portland Vital Signs in Portland, Oregon, uses two printers with LED UV technology to manufacture signs and retail displays for clients nationwide. It has found the LED technology’s lower heat allows for printing on thinner materials than previously.

The white paper also compares the various benefits of UV cured and latex inkjet technologies.

The research is free for ISA and Affiliated Association members. It is $24.95 for non-members.
