FUJIFILM-LogoTotal Graphic Solutions (TGS) of Acworth, Georgia has found that keeping up with the latest digital printing equipment leads to booming business.

In the past two years, the sign company has added two Inca Onset S20s from Fujifilm to its digital equipment lineup.

“The quality, production capacity and speed turned our business around,” said Charles Rezac, president, Total Graphic Solutions. “We’ve always had digital equipment, never any screen or offset.”

With its digital equipment, starting with a 4-color Inca Turbo in 2003, TGS has developed a demanding and diversified customer base over the years. Its clients range from advertising agencies and print brokers to retail clients and major brands. The sign company puts together everything from window clings to floor graphics to point-of-purchase graphics and more.

“As digital technology evolves and our customer requirements increase, our business has to change to meet their needs and stay competitive,” said Rezac, who is producing 45-50 beds per hour, or one bed per minute, with the Inca Onset S20 (compared with five minutes per bed with its old Turbo). “The increased speed has increased our capacity for more business from our existing clients and allowed us to take in new business as well.”

In addition to additional business, color management and consistency has improved with the new digital equipment. “Fujifilm applied their extensive expertise in color to match all of our printers, plus the ColorGATE RIP allows us to control everything in the shop with one single RIP,” said Rezac. “We’re able to move a job between the two S20s with no worries about the color, and we can do the job in half the time. With color consistency across all platforms, we’re able to produce a client’s job in less time, accurately and reliably, no matter the size or complexity.”

TGS’ sales have soared 30 percent year over year, and the company expects the same or better this year as well. “We’ve been telling our existing customers about our increased capacity and new capabilities, letting them know we can do all of their jobs. We ask our customers, ‘why use three vendors when you can use only one?’” said Rezac. “Our customers understand the value of keeping all of their work under one roof—the color consistency, delivery from one location, a single point of contact, and the confidence of working with a proven partner.”
