LIGHTFAIR International 2015 Will Take Place in NYC

The twenty-sixth annual LIGHTFAIR® (LFI®), the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, will be staged in New York at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center May 3-7, 2015, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., vice chairman, president and chief operating officer of LFI managing partner AMC, Inc.

The 2015 location decision resulted from the unanimous vote of LFI partners the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) following exhaustive independent LFI customer research conducted to determine the preferred east-coast venue. LFI, which is staged annually in alternate east-coast and west-coast sites, returns to New York for the first time since 2009, where it posted record-breaking attendance and a sold-out trade show floor.

LFI will return to a newly renovated state-of-the-art Javits Center largely transformed through a $465 million renovation and expansion project scheduled to be completed in 2014. LFI 2015 will occupy exhibit halls on level three and level one.

LFI 2015 exhibitors and attendees will experience and benefit from a significantly enhanced show environment with new energy-efficient lighting. Daylighting from a new 240,000-square foot glass curtain wall enhances the architecture. A new 6.75-acre green roof crowns the renovated center.

For LIGHTFAIR International 2015, the Pre-Conference program will take place from Sunday, May 3 – Monday, May 4, 2015 and the LFI Trade Show and Conference will run from Tuesday, May 5 – Thursday, May 7, 2015.
