Meyda Lighting Creates Custom-crafted Twelve-foot LED Chandelier
Yorkville, New York—When the American Girl Boutique and Bistro wanted a unique-looking, energy-efficient outdoor chandelier for the grand entryway of its new Dallas store location, the retailer turned to Meyda Lighting. (Meyda Lighting, a Meyda Tiffany Company and manufacturing leader of custom LED fixture designs) recently completed production and installation of the world’s largest LED chandelier—which was installed in the Stanley Theater in Utica, New York.)
Meyda Lighting has engineered and manufactured a spectacular, contemporary twelve-foot LED Chandelier for the American Girl project. Designed with a unique, contemporary look and twelve hand-finished steel arms, the American Girl chandelier is a true work of art.
The custom-crafted, lightweight fixture (under 400 pounds) was constructed with 12 arms of tubular steel and measures 137 inches in height and 144 inches in diameter. Handcrafted by Meyda Lighting artisans in Meyda’s manufacturing facility in Yorkville, New York, the chandelier was specially designed to be completely disassembled for shipping. All of its hardware and arms were hand-finished in a Pure American White hue.
The American Girl fixture combines state-of-the-art LED technology with a classic contemporary design. It is energy-efficient and earth-friendly using LED components, which are free of any hazardous waste byproducts such as mercury or lead.
This stunning fixture is illuminated using twelve 3-watt Philips Lumileds LUXEON light emitting diodes. The life expectancy of the LEDs under normal usage is reported to be fifty years on average.
