The 2016 Northeast States Sign Association (NSSA) New England Sign Expo rolled into the Twin River Casino Event Center this past September, and it was the best show to date.

The NSSA Sign Expo is promoted to and attracts sign company attendees from around New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Fifty-three exhibiting companies filled 101 booth spaces on a sold-out show floor with many new companies exhibiting for the first time.

“Exhibitors were very pleased with the turnout and the quality of the attendees,” says Jean Gavigan, NSSA Executive Director. “Exhibitors who want to get in front of custom sign manufacturing company owners and principals in the northeast see the NSSA Expo as ‘the Best Sales Call Day in New England,’ to quote one of our longtime sponsors.”

The NSSA Expo also featured a number of free seminars and presentations on everything from paints to vinyl graphics to LED technology. There was plenty of fun to be had on both days of the show, with a Fiesta Reception on the first night of the show, and a photo booth and Spin to Win game on the show floor as well.NSSA3

NSSA also welcomed the next group of young sign industry professionals to the NSSA Elite Program. This is the program’s second year, and it recognizes the next generation of sign industry leaders and offers educational and networking opportunities to help them develop their potential as future leaders (2015 and 2016 NSSA Elite members pictured right).

If you missed the show this year, be sure to keep an eye out for announcements about next year’s show, which will be moving to the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford at Adriaen’s Landing Riverfront Plaza on September 28 and 29, 2017.

The new location allows for more meeting rooms for education and training as well as a larger exhibit floor, which will be necessary since all of the 2016 exhibitors pre-registered for booth space for the 2017 NSSA Expo.NSSA2
