Bulbrite-40thAnniv-1

Bulbrite-40thAnniv-1After months of planning and preparation, BULBRITE celebrated its fortieth anniversary with a special event at its headquarters in Moonachie, New Jersey and at the nearby Thomas Edison Museum on Friday, July 22. BULBRITE is a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative, energy-efficient light source solutions and the premier educational resource for lamping technology.

The BULBRITE family of customers, sales representatives and vendors converged at the company headquarters at 2 PM. They joined company employees on tours through the offices, warehousing and distribution facilities, lighting lab and showroom. At the completion of the touring, guests attended two educational seminars featuring two of the hottest topics in the industry: the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA), and the importance of social media including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Later in the afternoon, guests were taken on a private, inspirational tour of the Thomas Edison Laboratory Complex in West Orange, New Jersey. Known as the “father of invention,ˮ Edison earned 1,093 United States patents (averaging a patent every two weeks during his working life). He invented the first durable light bulb (forty hours), an electricity distribution system, a phonograph, a motion picture camera, a fluoroscope for x-rays, and a multitude of other innovations.

Bulbrite-40thAnniversary-2During dinner, guests were treated to a video featuring the company’s history and snapshots of the day’s events. Moonachie Mayor Dennis Vaccaro presented the Choi Family with a Proclamation honoring them and company employees on their fortieth anniversary. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg sent letters of congratulations.

After dinner, all guests received special gifts including Bulbrite’s popular miniStryde LED Desk Lamp.
