DSF Integrator “Hangout” to Discuss “Developing the Integrator & Reseller Digital Signage Practice”

The Digital Signage Federation® (DSF), the only independent not-for-profit trade organization serving the digital signage industry invites DSF members and non-members alike, to attend its Wednesday, October 12 “Hangout” panel discussion at 2pm EDT, which will discuss “Developing the Integrator & Reseller Digital Signage Practice.”

Traditional sign and print shops have an excellent opportunity to expand their static sign businesses to become experts not only in digital signage, but also in the technology integration business, which is growing as the digital signage industry grows.

This forty-five-minute free “Hangout” is a panel discussions using the Live on YouTube platform with a moderator and a panel comprised of Digital Signage professionals who are members of the DSF, to include:

* Wayne Rasor, Director of Digital & Exterior Technology, FASTSIGNS International, who will speak to establishing a franchise and building the business from the ground up.

* Tom Jones, Senior Technology Solutions Manager, Ingram Micro, who will speak to the role of the professional integrator and distributor.

* Jeff Grandell, President, LPS and Co-owner of Display Solutions Group, who will speak as an integrator building solutions based on the customer’s objectives and facilitating the installations.

Among other things, the panel will also discuss:

* How a business can target specific markets.

* Identifying the elements involved and the order in which to evaluate them.

* The biggest mistake integrators make when starting out.

* Suggested experiments to get started and see if digital signage is the right fit.

“Sign and print shops have mastered the static signage world, but are now facing the digital world,” said Rasor. He added, “While all of the displays, media players, cords and mounts seem daunting, the process becomes easier when they start by identifying the customers objective, establishing a content plan, setting a schedule and building a solution of software and hardware based on all of them. The distributors and vendors can help when the right foundation is set up front.”

More information on the October 12 Hangout event or other DSF events can be found on the DSF Web site. Both DSF members and non-members may join these, or any of the DSF’s scheduled Hangout conversations for free – but registration is required and can be accessed on the “DSF Event Web Page” of the DSF Web site at http://digitalsignagefederation.com/hangouts.
