New Appointments: April 2013-II

Brand Management Group (BMG) has been named the exclusive licensing partner for HP-branded Sign and Display media for HP Latex Inks. BMG will source, market, and distribute HP-branded media and provide service and support to a worldwide distributor network and HP’s tier 1 and tier 2 partners. The licensing agreement was made to improve distribution coverage and product availability while enhancing customer service and support for inkjet media specific to HP Latex Printing Technologies. BMG, in collaboration with HP, will expand the HP portfolio with new media on three-inch cores, which include: HP Everyday Adhesive Matte Polypropylene, HP Everyday Matte Polypropylene, HP Coated Paper, HP Universal Heavyweight Coated, HP Heavyweight Coated Paper, and HP Super Heavyweight Plus Matte.

Cooley Group has promoted Steve Siener to vice president and general manager of Business Development. Siener will further international expansion of Cooley’s engineered membranes and commercial roofing businesses. David Lunati will fill Siener’s previous role of vice president and general manager, Cooley Engineered Membranes. Lunati will be responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing, and customer service for Cooley’s geomembrane and commercial roofing businesses.

Inca Digital has appointed Dr. John Mills as CEO. Mills holds a PhD in Physics, and he previously held positions at Domino Printing Sciences, Plastic Logic, and DataLase. He has extensive experience of developing and commercializing advanced industrial technologies, specifically in the fields of inkjet and plastic electronics.

LexJet is now the exclusive distributor of Tara Materials Inc.’s Fredrix Print Canvas line. The partnership allows Tara Materials to concentrate on its U.S.-based manufacturing and better serve Fredrix Print Canvas customers with LexJet’s enhanced customer service and nationwide distribution. In addition, the two companies will begin jointly developing new inkjet canvas products—compatible with aqueous, solvent, low-solvent, UV-curable, and latex inks—to address every potential application and market need for their customers.

Main Tape Company has hired Elizabeth Vondrak as vice president of Sales and Marketing. Vondrak brings substantial knowledge of market and product development, facility engineering, research and development, and operational resources to her new role at Main Tape. She most recently worked at Adhesives Research Inc.

Nazdar Ink Technologies has appointed Richard Bowles as president. Bowles will develop strategic sales, marketing, manufacturing, R&D, customer care, quality, and continuous improvement plans to enable Nazdar Ink Technologies to achieve objectives for growth and profitability. Bowles joined Nazdar in 2002 as vice president of Marketing, and since 2005 has served as vice president and general manager of Nazdar Ink Technologies. Nazdar SourceOne has appointed Peter Walsh to president. Walsh will develop strategic plans and provide leadership and vision to the functional areas of SourceOne for future growth and market expansion. These include partnering with leading global suppliers to provide best-in-class solutions for specialty graphic printers in the U.S., Mexico, and Central America. Walsh joined Nazdar in 1992.
