Colex Finishing has hired Gordon Kane as the new sales manager for the South Central Territory of the US. Kane will help Colex successfully manage the ever-growing demand of automatic cutting solutions within this territory for the printing industry. He brings over twenty years of experience to his new position, where he previously worked at Durst Image Technology and I.J. Technologies. Colex has also moved its company to an updated manufacturing, sales, and service facility in Elmwood Park. The new facility features double the space and double the manufacturing capabilities. The facility will feature an upscale demo room where visitors can bring their own media for cutting and routing on Colex and Fotoba equipment.

GFI Innovations and The Oldham Group have expanded their dealer agreement and strengthened their strategic relationship. The two companies began working together last summer leading up to Graph Expo. This new agreement reflects GFI’s intention to grow its dealer network with a thriving and supported distributor program for offset and flexographic inks. The Oldham Group will handle GFI’s paste and flexo ink formulation dispensing solutions lines.

Global Imaging has hired Elizabeth Large as an accounting specialist. She will assist in invoicing, processing and various accounting tasks. She will also be involved in financial modeling for the future vision of the company as well as some human resource work. Large has a background in general accounting practices and has worked in major companies throughout Colorado in office management, accounting, and human resource positions.

Trans-Lux has established new technology partnerships to further expand and enhance the company’s portfolio of LED solutions. The new partners include Prismaflex International (ALPRI:FP) in Haute-Rivoire, France, the renowned supplier of LED display and software solutions for Out of Home (OOH) advertising applications, and Squadrat in Schwanstetten, Germany to market their powerful LED display control software. Trans-Lux and Prismaflex International have joined forces to service the Americas with Prismatronic branded LED displays and BBM (Billboard Manager) software solutions for the OOH market. Trans-Lux has also entered into an alliance with Squadrat to market their powerful SX LED display content management software in the Americas. Trans-Lux will commence marketing the new software offering as epic™ v2.0.
