New Appointments: April 2015

Agfa Graphics has appointed Tim Dean as packaging specialist for the mid-west region of the US. Responsible for the Ohio and Mid-Atlantic region, Tim will work to identify new opportunities while offering his expertise to the existing customer base. He started his career as an offset pressman for the Nielsen Lithograph Company. He also previously worked for both Taussig Graphic Supply and xpedx before joining The Pitman Company.

Esko has acquired MediaBeacon, Inc., a leader in Digital Asset Management (DAM) software solutions. To facilitate a smooth integration process, Jason Bright, CEO and founder of MediaBeacon, will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer. Bright will work closely with the Esko R&D teams to drive software integration efforts and to ensure ongoing development of the MediaBeacon DAM software. Brett Robertson will assume responsibilities over daily operations as the General Manager of MediaBeacon. Robertson was previously the Director Global Product Marketing, Servo Motors with Kollmorgen.

Global Garage hired Jose Ward as parts and printhead technician. Ward will be responsible for providing technical assistance in cleaning, refurbishing, testing, assembling, and restoring printheads and other parts for wide and grand-format printers as well as overseeing and managing inventory storage, labeling, and shipping.

Semper International has appointed Rick Littrell to the position of vice president, Direct Hires and TechCreative talent. Littrell will be responsible for managing direct hire services, for both Semper’s traditional print and graphic arts areas where he is known extensively, as well as TechCreatives.

SloanLED, has added Kevin Rourke to the sales team of Davis Marketing Associates, Inc (DMA). DMA has been representing SloanLED in the Northeast U.S. for more than twelve years. Rourke joins the DMA team representing SloanLED in fourteen states including Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Rourke brings to the team more than twenty years of lighting industry experience. He has worked in the sign, graphics, and lighting industries as a National Sales Manager and was especially effective at new business development by cultivating demand at the end user level.
