Halco Lighting Technologies has hired Ed Rule as Northwest regional manager. Rule is responsible for leading the sales and training of the independent agencies servicing electrical distributors in the Northwest. He previously worked for Light Corporation and CT Lighting Sales and The Lighting Agency. He brings over fifteen years of industry experience in various sales and management roles to his new position.

Keystone Technologies has appointed Ira Greenberg as chief executive officer. Greenberg has been with the company for over thirteen years and most recently served as chief operating officer. Keystone has also promoted Jake Alpert to the position of vice president of Operations. Alpert has been with the company for three years, overseeing the operations and logistics functions. In his new role, Alpert will be an integral member of the finance, human resources, and operations teams.

Mimaki USA has hired Steve Cutler as sales representative in the Chicago branch. Cutler brings to the company deep knowledge of the wide format printing industry from former sales, marketing and management positions at Fujifilm, Agfa Graphics, Charette, IKON Office Solutions, A.B. Dick, and Océ USA. Mimaki has also hired Tiffany Smith as sales representative in the Dallas branch. Smith joins Mimaki USA from Sign Warehouse where she was a Senior Sales Consultant responsible for sales of wide-format printing, vinyl cutting, and laser engraving equipment.

Ricoh Company, Ltd. has acquired PTI® Marketing Technologies™, a premiere software-as-a-service marketing asset management and marketing solutions provider. The multi-million dollar acquisition ensures that Ricoh and PTI will continue to develop new marketing collateral management tools that help enterprises and commercial printers improve control of their marketing assets and workflow.

Universal Lighting Technologies has named Mid-Atlantic Lighting as a new sales agency in the Maryland; Washington, D.C.; and northern Virginia markets. As a representative for Universal Lighting, Mid-Atlantic Lighting will offer the full Universal Lighting inventory. Universal has also named Silvia Burdi as the new regional sales manager for the Midwest region of the US. Burdi will be responsible for growing the Midwest distribution channel by managing and supporting agents and distributors. She joins Universal with more than sixteen years of lighting industry experience.

Ventex Technology, Inc. and Transco To Go, LLC have been acquired by a Texas investor group. Both companies will be integrated and operate as Ventex Technology, LLC. The Texas-based investor group is led by J. Bryan and Blake Vincent, Partners at Principal LED. The acquisition will offer sign manufacturers a comprehensive stream of lighting products and leading-edge technology sold through a well established sign supply distributor network throughout North America. Henry A. Brown, III will serve as president and will lead the combined company’s day-to-day operations.
