nimlok 50th anniversary

Nimlok®, a division of Orbus Exhibit & Display Group®, is excited to celebrate its 50th Anniversary on March 3, 2020.

Nimlok was founded in 1970 by photographer Neil Nimmo. After World War II, Neil became a successful commercial photographer with a need for a portable backdrop, leading him to invent a lock-and-clip reconfigurable panel system. Neil partnered with Gerald Perutz, a successful commercial businessman, and established Nimlok LTD in England.

In 1981, Nimlok opened its doors in the United States in Chicago, headed by Simon Perutz. The Nimlok network of dealers in the USA consists of over 80 remarkable, expert businesses focused on the design, build and sell of Nimlok exhibits and systems to end users across all industries. In 1985, Nimlok opened Nimlok Canada, based in Toronto.

Nimlok is proud to celebrate its 50th anniversary and is committed to producing innovative & high quality portable, modular and custom exhibits and displays. To commemorate, Nimlok and its dealers across the USA are using a new logo for the entire calendar year in all marketing materials and will be celebrating at the ExhibitorLIVE tradeshow taking place March 30-April 1 in Las Vegas with a birthday themed exhibit and activities.

“I am so proud of Nimlok’s growth, innovation and progress over the past 50 years,” said Simon Perutz, Chairman of Orbus Exhibit & Display Group. “It is a global brand with companies in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Italy and Canada. Cheers to the next 50 remarkable years!”
