Roland Customers Win 2012 SGIA Golden Image Awards

Roland ElvisBirdhouseDemonstrating superior creativity, design work and craftsmanship, two Roland businesses took top honors in the annual Golden Image Awards competition held this week at the SGIA Expo in Las Vegas.

In the “Unique Applications – Digital Entries” category, Build a Birdhouse of East Whiteby, Ontario, Canada, was awarded the gold ribbon for “Creative Birdhouses,” a whimsical collection of custom birdhouses decorated in digitally printed vinyl graphics, also created on a Roland VersaCAMM.

In the “Building Graphics – Digital Entries” category, Gamut Media of Brea, California won the gold ribbon for “Saladish,” a bold, colorful restaurant interior décor and branding campaign that included floor-to-ceiling wall wraps, POP displays, and other graphics produced using the company’s VersaCAMM inkjet printer/cutter.

Golden Image Awards are widely recognized as the industry’s most prominent forum for digital imagers to show off their best achievements for the year.

Hundreds of entries were evaluated by an elite team of imaging professionals, who awarded gold, silver, and bronze ribbons to the best prints.
