Sherwin-Williams Introduces GA1100 Super Z Accelerator

Sherwin-Williams, through its Product Finishes Division, introduces GA1100 Super Z Accelerator to help sign finishers speed up production. The additive for automotive-grade GENESIS® LV Single Stage System reduces bake time by as much as 66 percent and eliminates a tacky finish, increasing throughput and cycle times.

Formulated to achieve speed and energy savings on the finishing line, GA1100 Super Z Accelerator complements GENESIS LV’s other high performance urethane qualities that include extreme durability, resistance to fading and chalking, and a chemical-resistant finish. The coating system is designed for finished applications such as large commercial neon signs, scoreboards, and electronic digital, LED-illuminated, pylon and channel letter signs.

“Finishers will realize new-to-the-market efficiencies with this additive,” said Dan Szczepanik, Product Finishes Marketing Director, Sherwin-Williams. “The finish is tack free coming out of the oven, so signs are stackable after a 10-minute cool down and vinyl decals can be applied in a few hours.”

Szczepanik said new squeezable, self-measuring packaging will reduce spills, be more accurate, and save time compared to the current practice of measuring and pouring capfuls of additive into paint.

The GA1100 Accelerator is featured at the Sherwin-Williams booth (#850) at International Sign Expo in Orlando, Florida.
