University of Florida Partners with ANC for Stephen C. O’Connell Center Expansion

University of Florida (UF) and ANC has announced the installation of a new center-hung display for the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The install was part of UF’s larger renovation and expansion plans, which debuted at the Men’s Basketball game against Little Rock on December 21, 2016.

The new center-hung structure will include four main video displays measuring 10.08 feet high-by-17.7 feet wide.

Four corner board displays measuring 4.72 feet high-by-22.05 feet wide will be utilized for scoring and statistics.

The center-hung will also feature a lower LED ring measuring 1.57 feet high-by-56.69 feet wide that will offer sponsors the opportunity to be seen by over 11,000 plus attendees each game.

The arena is also equipped with 24-foot and 40-foot 10mm LED courtside signage that will be utilized for sponsorship and game content.

“The University of Florida is dedicated to offering Gator Nation the best experience in collegiate sports,” said Scott Stricklin, Director of Athletics, University of Florida. “We are proud to partner with ANC, who has helped us bring the technology and innovation within Exactech Arena at the Stephen O’Connell Center to the next level.”

ANC’s award-winning operating system vSOFT will be used to manage content on the new center-hung display. The advanced media playback system manages multiple streams without scaling content, displaying visuals in high resolution and color depths. ANC’s creative services team will also create content for the displays, including sponsor graphics, team animations and statistical layouts.

“We are excited to work with the University of Florida to create the best viewing experience in all of college athletics,” said Jerry Cifarelli, vice president of Collegiate Sales, ANC. “Incorporating our industry-leading technology and services will help develop an immersive and dynamic game day viewing experience for students, alumni and fans.”
