Media company Dream Outdoor recently launched a new digital out-of-home (DOOH) platform along Sunset Blvd. in central Hollywood. Dubbed “The Blade,” this vertically oriented DOOH screen is mounted to the façade of the Wallace on Sunset, an apartment complex owned by real estate investment trust Essex, across the street from the Hollywood Palladium theater and Hollywood Walk of Fame headquarters.

Facing east and mounted at a slight angle for better viewing from Sunset, the 8 mm EMPIRE™ Exterior XA LED video display measures 29’11” high x 10’6” wide (1,140 x 400 pixels).

“It’s obvious that digital-out-of-home platforms can be critical to commercial real estate portfolios these days,” said Pete Simon, director of OOH at SNA Displays. “Utilizing building-façade space the way Essex and Dream Outdoor have done with this digital provides additional revenue streams, and with flexible payment options like financing, this kind of dynamic real estate is extremely accessible.”

YESCO provided LED installation services.
