nsign.tv is pleased to announce that Enrique Tomás, the world’s largest ham chain, has implemented its digital signage platform in its new model of Enrique Tomás GO!urmet vending machines that has just been launched at Barcelona Airport.

The first phase includes a total of 30 stores, distributed at strategic points throughout the Barcelona airport, which automatically offer, 24 hours a day, a wide variety of the brand’s products at the same quality and price as those found in the company’s other points of sale.

Here consumers can find everything from different varieties of Iberian ham and acorn-fed ham sandwiches to ham packets, as well as potato chips and other snacks and natural orange juices. And also “Tomasón”, the brand’s new star product, a soft bread with shavings of the best ham, with which the company hopes to reach, also through vending, millions of consumers around the world.

Each of the vending machines is equipped with between one and five iiyama branded 50” LCD screens which, thanks to the manufacture of custom-made brackets, can be anchored to the vending machines, ensuring perfect digital communication of the entire range of products available and helping to promote, attract and increase sales.

These displays work as an All-In-One solution with the nsign.tvDS player integrated and work in synchro, helping to reduce hardware investment thanks to this functionality of the nsign.tv platform, and eliminating the need for external players.

In that sense, Enrique Tomás opted for the Green Signage approach to have a solution that was sustainable with the lowest possible electricity consumption: “We wanted a software that was lightweight and could work with an internal player inside the screen to minimize the electronic components at the physical point,” explains Jorge Cruz, CIO of Enrique Tomás.

This is how the multi-award-winning nsign.tv software – ideal for non-technical users – is enabling Enrique Tomás to manage its product campaigns and broadcast its corporate image on the displays of its vending machines, inviting the customer to discover the ham experience. “This model requires that, in an easy and entertaining way, the quality of Enrique Tomás is explained while the customer understands that buying our products in the vending machines is a guarantee of fresh product,” says Cruz.

He adds: “Thanks to nsign.tv we can synchronize multiple screens regardless of their size and location. We also value the platform’s ability to schedule different broadcast slots and schedules in different periods with campaign validity dates, as well as the fact that it allows us to use different content formats.

The platform is proving to be very intuitive and allows us to easily organize all devices according to locations and categorize content that can be reused in different broadcast and sequencing groups.”

The Marketing department of Enrique Tomás remotely manages the content to be broadcasted on the screens, while the company’s IT team manages the monitoring of the equipment from its headquarters in Badalona (Barcelona).

In the future, Enrique Tomás intends to expand this unassisted vending model to new places with high foot traffic and consumption needs, such as subway stations, transportation interchanges, football stadiums or large companies.

Toni Viñals, CEO of nsign.tv, concludes: “We are very pleased that our platform has been chosen by Enrique Tomás for this new business model so disruptive. Digital signage will allow them to create a wow effect communication to attract their customers and thus increase sales through dynamic and attractive visual content.”

In addition, from the Marketing team of Enrique Tomás, they point out “the ease of working with a local partner such as nsign.tv that has helped us in the deployment and adoption of all the capabilities of the system”.
