Gerber at the SGIA Show

GerberEdge-2
GerberEdge-2Gerber Scientific Products (GSP), a worldwide leader in sign-making and specialty graphics systems headquartered in Tolland, CT, will highlight high-profit, short-run graphics produced on the Gerber EDGE FX™ at the SGIA trade show October 19-21, 2011, in New Orleans.  Gerber will have two industry experts in their booth: Diane Crowther of Metaline Graphics and Artie Shilling of East Coast Artie’s. They will show high-profit graphics they produced on the EDGE and share tips for success using the EDGE Digital Production Solution.

GSP will introduce a new Arctic White foil for their EDGE system. “This new foil is whiter than any other foil in the industry. Compare it to the competition and you’ll see the difference!” says Jay Dorman, Gerber’s director of Global Sales.

Gerber will also have a technology preview of a new production method for creating prototype flexible circuits for membrane switches. This new technology will be demonstrated both in the booth and in SGIA’s new Industrial Imaging Zone.

Booth visitors will learn how to use Gerber’s Matched Technology System™ (MTS) to design, print, and cut high-profit, custom graphics as the MTS’s patented Print-to-Cut technology will be showcased, featuring the EDGE FX thermal printer, Gerber plotters, OMEGA™ software, GerberColor™ thermal transfer foils, and Gerber EDGE Ready™ printable materials.

Show attendees can watch hands-on demonstrations of techniques for producing graphics with over 3000 custom colors, sequential barcodes, and variable customized printed output.  The wide variety of specialty foils and materials Gerber offers will be on display, including GerberMag, LexEdge (polycarbonate), label stock, High Performance cast and reflective vinyl, fluorescents, static cling, PermaGrip, and more. Samples of vehicle graphics, signage, decals, overlay switches, industrial labels, promotional items, safety labels, and other money-making output will be displayed as well.

The Gerber EDGE’s small footprint, environmentally-friendly operation, and wide range of specialty materials make it the ideal tool for any graphics business.  To see for yourself, visit Gerber at both Booth 1401 and in the Industrial Imaging Zone at the SGIA tradeshow.
