New Appointments: September 2015

Bayer MaterialScience is now operating under the Covestro name. The company is now legally and economically independent, but will remain a 100 percent subsidiary of Bayer AG. Bayer wants to float Covestro on the stock market by mid-2016 at the latest in order to concentrate exclusively on the life sciences businesses.

The Gilman Brothers Company has hired Misty Lengyel as purchasing manager. Lengyel brings over twenty years of experience in purchasing and purchasing management, having worked for small companies and large corporations including Putnam Plastics, C&M Wire and Cable, General Dynamics, and Hubble.

Mutoh America, Inc. has promoted David Conrad to director of sales and marketing. Conrad will be responsible for the overall direction of Mutoh’s North American sales efforts, through building relationships with resellers and customers. His responsibilities as director of marketing will continue with enhancing brand image in both North and Latin America. Mutoh has also promoted Michelle Johnson to advertising and events manager. She will be overseeing and creating advertising campaigns as well as producing and implementing corporate events. She will continue to operate public relations aspects of the marketing department including press relations and email communications. Mutoh has also appointed Jessie Orabuena to sales engineer for Latin America. Orabuena will be educating and training Latin America resellers and customers on how to properly maintain Mutoh equipment and work with technical issues.
