New Appointments: October 2011-II

The Cooley Group has promoted David Pettey to chief operating officer. Pettey has thirty years of experience in the textile and composite manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Cooley in 2006, he worked for International Paper, Burlington Industries, and Quaker Fabric Corporation. Cooley has also promoted Naresh Mehta to director, Research & New Product Development. Mehta has worked with Cooley for eleven years has a deep understanding of plastic materials and processes and new product development with polymers. He spent a significant portion of his career in India, where he created new products and helped expand them into international markets. 

FDC Graphic Films, Inc. announces the expansion of its corporate headquarters with a 58,000-square-foot addition. The addition will provide increased capacity, which is needed to expand FDC’s presence in current and future markets. The expansion should be completed by May 2012.

Graphic Solutions Group will open a new location to better serve its many customers in Lousiana. Opening after the first of the year, the new location will be at 11614 Richcroft Ave. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The 15,100-square-foot facility will offer the company’s full line of equipment and supplies and will be fully staffed with sales and customer service departments, as well as a complete showroom.

NanoLumens® will relocate its world headquarters to a new 32,000-square-foot office center at 4900 Avalon Ridge Parkway in Norcross, Georgia on December 1, 2011. The new headquarters will allow NanoLumens to better meet the long-term needs of its growing customer base, as well as to consolidate all administrative, sales, operations, research, design, and assembly under one roof. As a part of its growth, NanoLumens has appointed Karen Robinson to executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. Robinson has more than thirty years of experience and has worked in CEO and senior sales management positions in a number of companies.  Also newly appointed is Dana Michaelis, who is now vice president and general manager of Advertising Networks. Michaelis will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic, out-of-home, place-based advertising revenue sharing programs with content owners, networks, convention centers, stadiums, and arenas. He most recently worked for Brite Media Group as senior vice president of Sales & Marketing.

ONYX Graphics, Inc. has named Kevin M. Murphy president and CEO. Murphy brings a wealth of international experience in business management in the printing and imaging industries to the new position. He previously worked at Océ North America where he held a number of progressive management positions. He most recently served as vice president, Commercial Excellence.

Ultraflex Systems Inc. has promoted Matt Loede to product marketing manager. Loede will work directly with members of the Sales, Marketing, and New Business Development departments to maintain and enhance the company’s current products, as well as develop and integrate new product lines into the Ultraflex portfolio. Loede previously held positions in Sales and Marketing within Ultraflex.
