SGIA_Logo_largeSGIA has released its 2012 Financial Outlook and Business Growth Plans Benchmarking Report, which examined financial trends and profitable business strategies for the specialty imaging community.

“SGIA Benchmarking Reports provide a unique industry view of how companies are growing their businesses, how they purchase equipment and how they view the health of their business now and in the future,” says Dan Marx, SGIA’s vice president of markets and technologies.

The full report, free to SGIA members and all survey participants, provides:

* Anticipated business and sales growth

* Equipment purchases, planned versus actual

* Credit and receivables

* Employee sales details

According to the report, imagers are rebounding in the midst of a still irregular economy, with two-thirds of graphics and sign companies, and almost 60 percent of garment decoration companies purchasing equipment in 2011. Garment decorators are pointing themselves in the direction of success — more than half of those who purchased equipment did so to increase capacity, as they look ever more toward graphic imaging.
